Stenerson Lumber employees now enjoy up to 4 weeks of PTO in their first year!
With a new comprehensive Paid Time Off (PTO) program, employees can rest assured that they have the time to enjoy work-life balance and handle personal matters. The updated program allows for greater flexibility of use, increased visibility, simpler application, and earlier access to time. It also adds a handful of days to be use for physical or mental health as well as an opportunity for rest and recreation. Some PTO hours are earned by a working hour accrual and additional are allowed on a longevity/time-served basis. The program retains the generous carryforward provisions of up to 60 days of banked PTO, while still allowing some PTO to be accessed for anniversary or hardship payout. Even part-timers now have access to PTO hours!

As we head into the 4th of July holiday, we are saying “Happy Trails” to Dean Eidenschink and wishing him well on his retirement. He has been a member of the Detroit Lakes delivery team for 20 years now and we are so happy that he chose to spend those last working years with us! His hard work and dedication will certainly be missed; his sense of direction was uncanny and we’ll never know how he found all of those jobsites so quickly. He just simply knew where everything was! This Friday, June 30th is his last day (unless he comes back to help with inventory in the winter) so if you see him around, wish him well and offer a well-deserved pat on the back!

Stenerson Lumber celebrated Military Appreciation month in a big way this year! We added a discount of 10% to all active military members, retirees, and veterans year-round! This discount must be taken at time of purchase (no refunds) and allows up to $500 off every project that they complete. Restrictions apply to clearance items and the military discount can not be combined with other discounts.
The team also raised $740 (which the company matched) for a donation of $1480 to Operation Gratitude. We sent more than 100 care packages to troops stationed overseas.
We are excited to announce that all three Stenerson Lumber locations are now carrying Stinger brand cap staplers! These cap staplers allow you to easily attach house wrap or roof liner with one-handed operation. Using cap staples to attach liners helps prevent punctures and holes by spreading the staple’s holding power over a larger surface, through the cap. The cap also helps prevent the membrane from being cut from the front edge of the stapler. More holding power = less fasteners used and less holes in your liner!
